About Sproingthings
Sproingthings is a way for children of South Asian Ethnicities to be able to see themselves in the books they read. A child’s identity is strengthened by the cultures they grow up in, and often, children belonging to different ethnicities become the link between their parents and the land they’re growing up in. As Aotearoa becomes increasingly diverse, such books can help kids gain confidence in their cultural identity as they become their own persons.
